Pinreed glass, also known as Narrow Reed glass and 1/2" Reed glass, is characterized by its vertical lines or "reeds" that run along the surface. This design not only adds aesthetic appeal, but also serves practical purposes such as providing privacy while allowing light to filter through.

Privacy ratings range from 1 to 9, where a rating of 1 indicates that the glass is as clear as possible. Glass with a rating of 9 offers maximum obscurity; however, this does not mean you cannot see anything at all. Glass with maximum obscurity makes it difficult to see anything clearly through the glass – especially as distance away from the glass increases. Glass with a low rating offers minimal privacy. Glass with a high rating offers maximum privacy.
