Like lumber, every individual piece of glass is unique. Manufacturing factors such as variations in raw materials, production techniques, and finishing processes will slightly alter the appearance of the glass product. As a result, slight differences in color, texture, and pattern may occur.
Real-world variables, like proximity to the glass, time-of-day, weather conditions, and interior lighting can also affect appearance and perceived privacy levels.

Privacy Rating:
1
Privacy ratings range from 1 to 9, where a rating of 1 indicates that the glass is as clear as possible. Glass with a rating of 9 offers maximum obscurity; however, this does not mean you cannot see anything at all. Glass with maximum obscurity makes it difficult to see anything clearly through the glass – especially as distance away from the glass increases. Glass with a low rating offers minimal privacy. Glass with a high rating offers maximum privacy.
