Satin Etch

Satin etched glass has undergone an acid-etching process, which creates a smooth, frosted looking finish. This finish allows for privacy while still permitting ample visible light transmission. The etching process partially dissolves the surface of the glass, resulting in a uniform matte appearance that diffuses light gently, creating an aesthetically pleasing glow.

Important Note: Objects viewed through obscure glass change in appearance depending on viewing distance, viewing angle, and lighting condition. Privacy ratings range from 1 to 9, where a rating of 1 indicates that the glass is as clear as possible. Glass with a rating of 9 offers maximum obscurity; however, this does not mean you cannot see anything at all. Glass with maximum obscurity makes it difficult to see anything clearly through the glass – especially as distance away from the glass increases. Glass with a low rating offers minimal privacy. Glass with a high rating offers maximum privacy.
